Day 23#: Hercules and Love Affair – “Athene”

Washington, DC can be such a dreadfully serious place. My favorite moment last weekend was walking through downtown Silver Spring and passing a young black guy with a Grace Jones haircut, wearing a trenchcoat and platform boots, and standing in front of American Apparel with two other kids of similar style. He saw me looking as I passed and dutifully struck a pose. I wished to hell I had taken a picture of whole thing.
