What better way to take advantage of periods between employment than to do some extensive traveling. Danish just returned from what was probably a two-month sojourn to the Pacific coast with friends, stopping over in Japan, Vietnam, and Australia (Oz, to the young folk). While I’ve long wanted to get to Australia, I can’t get it out of my head that the urban parts of Japan are akin to the insides of a pocket calculator. You know, technology flavored food and such. And Vietnam? Well… it always seemed stuck in time for me as a consequence of Communist rule, like Russia. (See Goodbye Lenin! if that doesn’t make much sense).
But this video gives you a different view of Vietnam. A well-made glimpse by one of Danish’s friends that seems like it ought to be something the tourism boards advertise to draw people in. Especially young people.
