Day #24: Caveman – “Easy Water”
Well, indie prom is just around the corner! And on the South by Southwest music lineup are these guys… Caveman. The Brooklyn band caught the eye (and maybe stole the heart) of Danish’s roommate, LZ, when we saw them open last year for White Rabbits at a cramped Rock n’ Roll Hotel show here in DC. The last few months have been good for the band, and even though they’ve only been on the scene since 2010, that kind of quick success probably isn’t surprising anymore. It worked out that way, too, for mega-superstars Foster the People, and the lower key Florida natives, Surfer Blood. My hope, though, is that it isn’t a sign of musically blowing their wads before the arrival of the sophomore album. For Foster the People, I am leaning towards the suspicion that it has.
