Day #185: Ty Segall – “My Sunshine”
Mother Nature certainly waited to the last minute to change her mind about the weather. We woke up to forecasts of eternal drizzle, which sent what may be the last BBQ at the house (before we sell) indoors. Still, the loyalists stuck by us and the turnout was good. Unfortunately, the rain put a kink in plans to break out once again the makeshift slip n’ slide and bonding through intense Cornhole tournaments. But, we made do, and in the process, making do has taught me that making butterflies from animal balloons, playing classic NES games on the Wii, and decorating a cake with frosting devil horns using just a spatula and butter knife are not just things you can jump into. I also learned that I should probably go with Phil when he opts to buy food from a restaurant supply store. Many meals of hamburgers and various fruit await.
Thanks to all who made it out. You’ll remain on our Christmas card list. *Rimshot*
We rocked out some birthdays, too, while we were at it.
